The Chocolate Way works to support ethical practices in the supply chain of chocolate, from the production of cacao, through to the chocolate-eating consumer. TCW promotes an understanding of the culture, history and value of this ancient nutritious food and encourages the production of high quality products that respect these values.
The Logo “The Chocolate Way“ represents the European Itinerary of Chocolate and it identifies enterprises and organizations having quality chocolate as reference of their activity such as in production, culture, selling or promotion.
In order to enhance the cultural, social and historical presence of the cocoa and chocolate in Europe and highlight how they became part of the lifestyle and cultural identity of European territories, the present regulation describes the criteria for the issuing and use of the Logo “The Chocolate Way” to production enterprises, retails, restaurants, hotels public entities and other organisations, as a concrete qualification instrument of the economic, social and cultural systems.
