DAY 1: Barcelona
Arrival to Barcelona El Prat Airport and transfer to Tossa de Mar by bus. Check in at Hotel. Welcome dinner at Casa Igor (Autumn Seasonal and local Menu). Barcelona, the capital city of Catalunya, is a beautiful city of Northern Spain. Famous for its peculiar buildings designed by Gaudí’s style, in the city you will be able to taste many Catalan dishes, whose main ingredients are seafood, fresh vegetables and fruits.
DAY 2: Tossa de Mar
Reception at Francesc Colomer with a presentation of the local brandmark “Tossa Dolça” with a tasting of local sweets products.
Presentation and tasting of regional products: Sweet sausage and Local honey. Lunch at Mestre d’Aixa (Local cuisine prepared with chocolate). Workshop at Ca la Nydia to prepare Carquinyolis (Catalan Sweet).
Transfer to Sant Pol de Mar by bus and train. Check in at the Hotel.
DAY 3: Sant Pol de Mar – Sant Andreu de Llavaneres
Pastry Masterclass at EUHT StPOL. Lunch with showcooking at the Hotel School.
Transfer from Sant Pol de Mar to Sant Andreu de Llavaneres by train.
Workshop at Can Sala (Coca de Llavaneres, Traditional Catalan Pastry).
Transfer from Sant Andreu de Llavaneres to Sant Pol de Mar.
DAY 4 : Barcelona – Madrid
Transfer from Sant Pol de Mar to Barcelona by Train. Visit to the Chocolate Museum: guided visit – Workshop – Tasting.
Lunch and Free time. Transfer from Barcelona to Madrid by AVE (Fast Train). Arrival at Madrid Atocha and transfer by bus to the hotel.
Located in the centre of the country, the capital city of Spain is a unique place in the world, where the past and the present meet, so that you will be able to cross ancient roads and buildings in traditional districts such as La Latina or Malasaña, but also modern and fashionable places such as Gran Vía and Puerta del Sol.
DAY 5: Alcalà de Henares
In the morning, you will move to Alcalá de Henares, a small city close to Madrid. The city is famous for her well-known university and for being the hometown of Miguel De Cervantes, the author of the Don Quixote. There you will attend a Culinary Sweet workshop at Escuela de Hostelería y Turismo de Alcalá de Henares. Lunch during the visits. In the afternoon, you will visit the city of Alcalà de Henares. In the evening, you will have dinner at Bar Loreto, a traditional tapas bar of Madrid, where you will be able to taste different Spanish dishes.
DAY 6: Toledo
In the morning you will move to the beautiful city of Toledo. There you will visit the Obrador Santo Tomé, a marzipan fabrique funded in 1856. Lunch at Hotel Palacios.
Toledo is the most important productor of traditional Spanish marzipan, whose main ingredients are almonds and sugar. In the afternoon you will attend a Marzipan workshop at La Alacena Manchega, a place famous for its production of Toledo’s traditional culinary products. In the evening you will have dinner at Mercado Provenzal of Madrid, a cozy place where you will be able to taste different Spanish dishes present in the daily menu.
DAY 7: Madrid
In the morning you will have breakfast at Mamá Framboise, a prestigious bakery of Madrid. A guided tour of the factory will follow.
Transfer and lunch at IES Hotel Escuela Madrid.
In the afternoon there will be a guided tour of Madrid, starting from Plaza de Oriente, during which you will take a walk in the city centre while visiting the most historical sweet factories and shops of the city.
Dinner and departure the following day!
